Many of us applaud the option to attend court hearings via videoconferencing, which eliminates the need to fight traffic and find childcare. But this article by Matt Reynolds, published by the American Bar Association, highlights a real concern about remote hearings...the fact that adequate technology is out of reach for many Americans. Lest you think the concern affects only a small subset of the population, one study estimates that a full one third of the U.S. population lacks broadband internet connectivity.
